Systems A, B, and C installation methods
Systems A, B, and C installation methods
Systems A, B, and C installation methods for your WWHRS shower tray:
System A:
System A is a balanced installation method that supplies preheated water to both the cold inlet of the thermostatic mixer valve (TMV) and the water heater/hot water source. This method maximizes the efficiency of your WWHRS shower tray. It is typically used to optimize the impact of the WWHRS system on the primary shower in a home, such as the primary ensuite shower.
System B:
System B is the simplest installation method and is often used in many cases. It supplies preheated water back to the cold inlet of the TMV only. This method is less efficient compared to System A but still provides energy savings.
System C:
System C is an unbalanced installation method that feeds the preheated water back to the water heater/hot water source only. This system is primarily used when a dwelling already has a WWHRS system installed as System A or C. If you have existing installations as System A or C and you are adding additional WWHRS shower trays, the additional systems must always be installed as System B.
Please refer to the provided schematics for a visual representation of each installation method.
It is crucial to consult the specific guidelines, recommendations, and regulations provided by the manufacturer of your WWHRS shower tray for accurate installation instructions based on your chosen system (A, B, or C). Proper installation ensures optimal performance and energy efficiency of your WWHRS shower tray.
